Hamentaschen cookies

Even though Purim was a couple of weeks ago, we've been obsessed with Hamentaschen cookies.  And since Hamentaschen is a "tricky one" (sometimes, when I don't really want to try to say a hard word, I just say it's a tricky one...that usually gets me out of it) we decided it would be easier to call them "Hashen cookies."  Well anyway, Mommy finally got the recipe and we finally got to make them!  First I may have accidentally (on purpose) spilled some sugar, so Coopy and I had to pick it up.

Once it was all cleaned up, it was time to mix and roll out the dough.

Then, while we were waiting for the Hashen cookies to bake, I may have rubbed flour all over my face.

I think it's a pretty good look, don't you?  Our cookies turned out ok, but we'll have to practice before next Purim!

Snow day

Mommy woke us up this morning by telling us that we didn't have school today because it was our very first snow day.  At first we were a little confused.  I mean, usually when we don't have school it's because we're sick.  I made sure to have Mommy take my temperature, just to be sure that wasn't the reason.

Once I was sure I wasn't sick, and Mommy explained that a snow day meant it was a free day off from school because there was too much snow outside, (wouldn't it have been easier if she'd just explained that from the beginning instead of trying to get us excited about some obscure thing we toddlers don't know anything about?!), we got down to deciding what to do to make the day special.  First I decided to wear an extra special outfit,

and then I decided to give Mommy 5 minutes of me in pigtails.

I'm so extra adorable when I have piggies in my hair that I have to parcel out the cuteness so Mom doesn't explode from loving me so much.  Once Coopy showed off his super cute snow day outfit too,

it was time for me to melt Daddy's heart before he left by showing him that when I really want to be adorable and loving, I can turn it on.

Just so you know, the big kiss when combined with a "love you" often results in getting anything I want.  Anyway, once all the cuteness was taken care of, Coopy and I got down to our day.  I spent much of it looking at my outfit.

A girl's gotta look stylish you know.  Coopy spent the day driving around the house.

After a full day, we did some swimming in the tub.

After that, it was time for Coop to blow Mommy some kisses while I listened to a little ZBB on Daddy's iPad before bed.

I'd say it was a pretty good first snow day.  I wonder when we'll have another.

Cookies

Since today was our third Monday without school, and our first without a new and exciting activity to do, we decided we wanted to do something extra super special.  Unfortunately, since Liz didn't think seeing how loud we could screech while listening to Taylor Swift and Beyonce at obscenely loud volumes was an acceptable activity for well behaved yet slightly stir crazy toddlers to do, she decided we should all make cookies.  It's a good thing we're experts in the kitchen, because there was a lot to do.  First we had to put the butter

and sugar in the bowl.

Then once Liz was done mixing the batter, we had to stare at it for a while to make sure it was up to our high standards.

Don't worry.  The batter tasted as good as it looked.

Finally some winter fun

This winter has been kind of a drag.  Me and Ella, we've been sharing this lame cough and cold like thing for most of the season.  We've tried to tell Mommy that at least we're sharing...she said she's less than impressed.  Anyway, today we finally convinced her to look past our snotty noses and our coughs and let us play outside.  Boy oh boy are we glad she did!  After a pretty fantastic swim lesson, and a not too bad nap, Daddy surprised us with two new bright red sleds.  Pretty much I'm a sledding expert, but I still went down the hill with Dad, just so he wouldn't be scared.

But the most fun?  When me and Ella raced!

Left at home

Daddy's been traveling a lot for work lately, so we were pretty bummed when he and Mommy decided to leave us for an extra long weekend to go to Cabo.  I mean, I can understand that Daddy wanted to golf without me running behind him yelling "golf green golf green whack it whack it putt putt putt!" over and over again, but still.  Since we weren't as excited to be left with Liz as we usually are, she decided to cheer us up with a couple of little presents.  The first day Mommy and Daddy were gone, we got Mickey and Minnie stickers and ears.

Ella was more into the ears than I was.  We also got these really cool window sticky things.

Mommy and Daddy also made sure to leave a couple things for us too, like two sets of new jammies.  The first were Mickey baseball jammies, and Ella got lame Minnie ones.

The second set came with books!  Again, mine was about baseball, and I got this awesome book called "Casey at the Bat"

Did you know that when I grow up I'm going to be a baseball player?  Ella's book was called "Rainbow Fish", so her jammies had fishes on them.

We didn't really miss Mommy and Daddy as much as we thought we were going to, so we probably didn't need all those presents...but don't tell Mommy, Daddy and Liz...we'll take all the little pick me up gifts we can! :-)
