Pre-birthday presents

Guess what!? We're almost two! Mommy said today could be our "birthday kick-off" day, but I think she only said that because she needed to clean the pantry and wanted to keep us occupied. Whatever...we don't care about the reasoning behind it, we got to open a present! Well, technically, it was three presents in one, one for me, Ella, one for Coopy, and one for us to share. I was super excited to open the shared present.

Mostly Coopy just watched. Apparently unwrapping is for girls...or girls who like to shred paper. Anyway, he was pretty interested in his card...

so was I though.

Then we got to spend the rest of the morning playing with our new blocks and our back-pack cases!

Thanks Uncle Evan and Aunt Amy!!

Summer time stuff

So even though we know it's not "officially" summer, we're still busy practicing some of our new summer skills. Like floor picnics,

and picnic table picnics (thanks Uncle Arnie, Aunt Julie, Maggie and Gracie!!).

But most of all, I'm very busy practicing my baseball skills. It's my very favorite sport you see.

I can't wait until I'm old enough for little league!

Norfolk

Daddy had some meetings in Norfolk earlier this week, and we decided to tag along. We wanted to get some time in with our cousins and Gramma and Pops. It was a pretty exciting trip too. We got to fly on the new plane and we were super great flyers...just ask PJ and Q. We didn't scream or cry or anything, just sat in our seats like big kids...

and maybe discovered the buttons to open and close the shades. Then we did tons of playing. We played with blocks, and a fire engine, and I played with Mrs. Potato Head.

I even tried to wear her glasses.

When we needed some calm time, we let Gramma read to us.

The worst part of the trip was that it was so short...but we'll be back before we know it!

Turkey

Mommy and Daddy spend an awful lot of time telling everyone what great toddlers we are. They like to brag about what we say and sign, what we like to do, what we like to eat, how we sleep...all that super lame stuff that adults seem to care about. Well, sometimes we like to take it upon ourselves to act super extra goofy, so Mommy and Daddy have no choice but to tell everyone just how big of turkeys we can be. Like today, I decided to walk around with cookies in my mouth...

Mommy said I get extra points for being so patriotic. Want to know why else today was an especially turkey-ish day? Well, when Mommy took me and Ella to the park this morning while Daddy was golfing, all I wanted to do was sit on the slide and make faces at Mom.

Then, tonight, Ella decided to empty Caddie's toy bin. I decided to use it as my new jungle gym.

Yep...turkeys.

MSCI

We know it's been a long time since we updated, but we haven't had much to say. We've kept pretty busy the last week or so, but we haven't done anything worth noting...and we don't want to bore any of you with the mundane-ness of our routines. Especially since we had such a great long weekend that we want you super excited to hear all about it! Saturday, Mommy and Daddy left for Maryland for the annual MSCI conference, and fortunately for us, they decided to leave us home with Liz. See, we love traveling, but usually Liz has such awesome things planned for us that we end up having more fun without Mommy and Daddy than we do when they're home. And this time was NO exception: first, Liz got us little weekend goodie bags with sand toys, a pinwheel and socks and sunglasses.

Awesome right? Then, she let us play with her phone!!

Good thing we're so responsible and well behaved, we only used it to check in with Mom and Dad. Then we got to make cookies,

and she gave me my first pedicure.

She even remembered Ice Cream Monday!

But the very best part? We got to spend yesterday afternoon at the zoo! It was awesome!!! We loved everything, but we especially loved when we got to be a polar bear.

We even got toys from the gift shop,

AND we got to be burger kings and queens!

Amazing! When's the next conference?

Ice cream Monday

Mother's Day was pretty awesome. But want to know what's even awesomer?

Ice cream Monday. Clearly ice cream is superior to mommies because mommies only get one day a year, but ice cream gets every Monday...all summer long. Awesomest.

Dough

Have you ever had cookie dough? What about chocolate chunk-peanut butter chip-toffee-pretzel mm cookie dough?

We have.

It's delicious.
