Phew...what a weekend!

We just wanted to take a quick moment to thank our family and friends that were able to join us today for the naming of our children. We are so thankful to have all of you in our lives, and for those of you that were not able to join us, you were missed. It was a beautiful ceremony, and a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Please all feel free to come back and visit soon! We love you all!

Also, thanks to our sister-in-law Julie, who took "newborn" portraits of our little ones. We can't tell you how much it means to us to have these photos of them. We'll share the pictures when we get the rest, but I'll include our preview photos with the few I've taken of the babies over the last 10 days.

16lbs 4oz!

The one good thing about weekly doctor appointments is that it reassures Jeff and I that we're not breaking our babies, but actually allowing them to thrive. Today, they weighed in at a combined total of 16lbs 4oz (8lbs 2oz each)!!! They're HUGE!! Or huge in comparison to where they started because they've now quadrupled their size since they were born!

We're all still surviving after 2.5 weeks of having the babies home. Fingers crossed, they're starting to sleep better which means Jeff and I get almost 4 hours at a stretch. We just need them to keep it up!

A question of paternity

Today is the first time I've actually questioned the paternity of these children...well one of them anyway. The babies an appointment to check their weights with the pediatrician, and the doctor told us what percentages the babies were in based on their weights, heights and head sizes. Cooper is roughly the same (25th percentile) over all 3 measurements. Eloise, on the other hand, is apparently tall, skinny, and has a small head...all things Jeff said Robinsons are not! All jokes aside, both babies are looking great and gaining all kinds of weight. Cooper is 7.4lbs and Ella is 7.8lbs, but the only reason we think Coopy weighs less is because he's been "Cooper the super pooper" today. :-) Other than the doctor, our little ones have spent most of the day perfecting their "Pops at services" impression, (sleeping). Happy New Year everyone!

I can't believe it's already been over a week!

I hate to say it, but the last 10 days really have flown by...sort of. We're beyond sleep deprived, and we often spend most of our nights couch sleeping with a baby on our chests, but I think (hope) we're adjusting to parenthood. We had a great long weekend with visits from Aunt Julie, Uncle Arnie and Maggie, and then also from Gramma Betti and Pops, and we can't wait to introduce the babies to more friends and relatives...just call first! :-) Here are some pictures our visitors were able to take...enjoy!

GO BIG RED!

Happy Husker Football everyone! We couldn't be more psyched for the game...can't you tell? Love-Coopy and Ella

Maggie was here!

And Arnie and Julie too. We had a great (although short) visit from Aunt Julie, Uncle Arnie, and Cousin Maggie today, and our little babies really seemed to enjoy it. They didn't scream, or fuss too much, and they saved the really big poops for once everyone had left! It was really great to see Maggie with her newest cousins. I'm sure they'll all love to play together once the little ones get bigger...and I'm sure Maggie will be all ready to teach them her tricks! :-)

Since we've been home

It's been 3 months right? The babies are now almost 6 months old? Oh just kidding...it's only been 3 days. After spending 80 days in the hospital, we really weren't ready for our little ones to be babies...they've been patients for so long. It's been a long few days, but we're hopefully, slowly getting the hang of it. Here are a few pictures since we've been home:
