Fort Day

To most everyone else, today is Christmas...but to us it's not. Today is the day that we get to build a fort with our daddy! I'm sure as we get older, the forts will get bigger and better...this is only our first attempt.

HAPPY FORT DAY EVERYONE!

Ella's perspective

Coopy's done a whole lot of posting lately, and to be honest, it's kind of made me mad. See, me Ella, I like to chat (just ask Mommy and Daddy about my 5am chat fests), and so I think only hearing from Coopy lately is a little unfair. Good thing I'm Mommy's favorite so all I had to do was give her a big smile and she said I could post...Mommies are so easy! Anyway, it's been pretty good to be Ella lately. Last week my boyfriend Max came over. I can tell he's my boyfriend because he rolled over to me and tried to hold my hand.

Daddy says Max has to stay away because I'm too young to have a boyfriend, but I don't think so. Coopy and I have been practicing our skills and stuff a lot lately too. See, I can almost sit up all by myself...the boppy is just there to cushion my fall.

And I'm getting really good at holding my head up on my tummy. Mommy really wants me to roll over but I don't really want to. I wish she'd stop trying to make me such an over achiever.

Mommy really wants Coopy to roll over too. He just laughs when she asks him to, stupid boys they just think everything is a game!

Coopy tried to show off and make me feel bad because he found his toes the other day. He's so mean sometimes!

But you want to know a secret? I love my brother...

Busy

Hi guys. We've been so busy growing and playing, that we've totally forgotten about blogging. Sitting at the computer isn't nearly as fun as playing with all our fun toys. To catch you all up, we turned 6 months old last weekend, and today we had to get shots. Ella screamed, but me Coopy, I was a good boy. I only fussed a little. The doctor said we looked real good and we were growing real good and stuff. Know what? Me and Ella, we now weigh 14.5lbs each! We're so big!

Other than the doctor, we've been doing lots of playing. Uncle Evan and Aunt Amy got us this super cool jumper that Mommy and Daddy finally got around to putting together. Jeeze...you'd think they could've done it sooner, it's not like they're busy or anything! Anyway, me and Ella, we really like it. Sometimes we fight over who gets to be in it...usually I win.

Last weekend we were supposed to go to Millie, Bennett, Blaise and Brenden's Christmas party but there was a blizzard, so we stayed home instead. Staying home kind of sucked.

But Daddy made it all better when we read the paper together. I read the comics...that "Baby Blues" is so funny!

Happy Hanukkah!

Hi guys, it's me Coopy. I'm kind of depressed that the Huskers lost last night. I even wore my new hat that I got at the game and everything!

This week, me and Ella have been celebrating Hanukkah. Since we're babies, Hanukkah is hard to say, so we've been calling it "Honka Honka". It's been pretty great so far. We get to light candles and say prayers and then we get to open presents and stuff. Mommy said that we have to say the prayer and light the candles as a family, so that's why there aren't any pictures of me lighting the candles. Well, that and the fact that I don't get to play with matches, maybe next year. We got these awesome hats from Aunt Gwenn, Uncle Dwight and Cousin Sarah.

And we got these super cool outfits from Cousin Maggie. Mommy said she thinks now would be a good time to invest in Adidas.

Gramma Polly came over tonight and she gave us lots of presents. Too bad we have to share the big ones.

Other than "Honka Honka", it's been pretty good to be home and catch up with all of our toys and practice our skills and stuff. Look how good I can hold my head up!

Sometimes I get tired though.

Ella thinks she's pretty good too...but I think I'm better.

What a busy week it's been!

Hi everyone! We hope you all had a fabulous "Jeff Day", Thanksgiving, Black Friday, football filled weekend, Cyber Monday and first night of Hanukkah...we know we sure did! We've been so busy that we haven't had a chance to blog about any of the super cool stuff we got to do. First of all, me and Coopy, we had our first trip to Norfolk this past week. That's where our Daddy is from, and that's where Pops, Gramma, Uncle Arnie, Aunt Julie and Maggie live. It was pretty great to visit. We got to go to Pops' office and visit and show off...maybe one day we can work next to Pops just like our daddy and Uncle Arnie do. Pops let me and Coopy sit in his chair. It's a good thing we dressed up for work...we had lots to do!

The next day was Thanksgiving and boy oh boy was that fun! Mom made us wear these ridiculous bibs and matching outfits, and she took tons and tons of pictures.

Posing for pictures sure makes me sleepy.

Friday, me and Coopy got to go to our very first Husker game! It was so much fun! We got to sit in the skybox, and Mommy and Daddy carried us around in our bjorns the whole game. And we got to cheer and signal touchdowns and everything. I think since the Huskers won, me and Coopy must be good luck so we should get to be at every game.

Coopy and Daddy were so tired after the game, that they spent the rest of the weekend on the couch.

Me Ella, I learned a new skill. I'm sure Mommy and Daddy are so proud!

It's good to be home, but we loved spending time with Gramma and Pops, just hanging out.

Since Mommy and Daddy are a little behind on all the pictures they took, maybe they'll post our Hanukkah pictures later this weekend.
