Elbows

Lately, Daddy's been spending a lot of time complaining about his elbow, so today he went and got it fixed. I think it was like the time I had to get my hernia fixed, except he didn't have to spend the night in the hospital. Anyway, we had to find something to do with Liz while Daddy and Mommy were at the surgery center...you know, to keep her mind off of everything. She's such a worrier. Well, first we did some sitting in our Bilbo seats...they're super tippy and fun to rock in.

Then, Ella made sure to walk around the house in Mommy's slippers...just to keep them warm for her for when she got home.

Once Mommy and Daddy came home, we sent Mommy back to the store to get some special treats for Daddy to help him feel better faster. Or, at least that's what we told her. Really, we just wanted the treats all to ourselves! Good thing Mommy knows us so well and told Daddy he had to share, so for snack we got mini chocolate cupcakes.

They were super yummy, and we only had to pretend to share with Dad.

Then we did some climbing on Daddy and the couch, just to make sure he didn't feel left out.

He tried to steal my Thin Mint...I didn't let him though. Just because his elbow had to get fixed doesn't mean he gets to steal my cookies! We also made this awesome picture for Daddy.

We think our art will help him feel better the fastest.

Reading

Sometimes I just like to veg out for a bit and read.

Sometimes I also like to wear Daddy's socks.

Hero

Lately, it's seemed like Ella has really started to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. I mean, she's already claimed all the cool ideas (like being in a band or being Daddy), and me Coopy, I don't want to copy her. So I've had to figure out something else to be.

I thought this was a good place to start.

I know it's a lofty goal, but I think it's a good one to strive for.

Haircuts

Today was a very traumatic day...well, it was for Coopy and Mommy anyway. Today, we got our first haircuts. Me, Ella, I was great.

I was super good and I didn't even fuss or anything...but that was probably because I got to keep most of my curls. I am a girl you see, and it's ok for girls to have long hair. Coopy on the other hand had to have most of his curls cut off.

Clearly he didn't like it very much. But now you can tell that we're boy/girl twins, and not two girls.

I think his new look will help his chances with the ladies at gym class. I hope so anyway, it's hard being the only toddler in the family with any skills.

Premature nakedness

Want to know the best part about tubby-time? Getting naked!

Especially when we do it 45 minutes early and surprise Mommy and Daddy! :-) Clearly, Ella is especially proud of her accomplishment.

Couch games

Since it's Super Bowl weekend, me and Ella, we thought we'd come up with our own big game to play...and boy oh boy did we ever. We finally learned how to climb up on the couch all by ourselves! It's the most fun place in our whole house! So much so, that we basically spent all weekend up there. I snuggled up like Mommy, and made sure to practice my tough look.

Ella just did some lounging.

Today, in preparation for the game, we helped Daddy get the ribs ready for the smoker.

We're pretty good sous chefs. We're pretty good rib eaters too.

Then, Max and his mommy and daddy came over for the first half of the game, and to test out our sous-skills. I think they were impressed. We all had lots of fun together, even though Ella and Max didn't feel like smiling much.

Grown up...again

Want to know what else I want to be when I grow up? Daddy...but I have big shoes to fill.

Croupy J

Well...it finally happened. Sunday I had to make my very first trip to the doctor for a sick visit. I think Mommy and Daddy were pretty excited that it took this long for it to happen. Daddy calls it "averaging out"...whatever that means. Anyway, I have croup. And it's yucky. The doctor gave me this super sucky nebulizer machine to use. The only good part is that when I do it, I get to watch cartoons or basketball or something else awesome like that.

Except when Mommy tries to take my picture. Then I have to glare at her. Anyway, I'm starting to feel better, which is all that counts. Well, that and these super awesome jammies Mommy got for me and Ella.

We think they really reflect our personalities. Being sick isn't all bad though. Not that I wasn't already spoiled, but now it's even easier to get whatever I want! I just say "Gah!" and Mommy gives me whatever I point to! Like for snack today, I got graham cracker pound cake topped with Cool Whip and berries...delicious!

Stupid Mommy made me share with Ella though. Lame.
