Follow-up Clinic

So you know how me and Coopy were born super early, and we had to spend all last summer in the hospital? And we didn't get to do anything fun like play outside and go for walks and go swimming and swinging and stuff? Well, because of that, we have to visit our friends at the hospital once a year to get followed, just so the doctors and nurses can check our progress. I blame Coopy for coming early...he was ready to come out. Me, Ella, I was nice and cozy warm all squished in Mommy's tummy...I would've stayed there forever. But anyway, because Coopy wanted to come out, I had to come out too. But I digress. Today was clinic day and wow was it fun! We had to take this test and we passed! We did everything we were supposed to do. We rang the bells, and we tasted the blocks, and played with the balls. We rolled and sat and Coopy army crawled. We gave 5, and we peek-a-booed. And me Ella, I blew a few kisses...just for good measure. We even got to snack on puffs as part of our test! It was great. Then, when we were done showing off how awesome we are at being babies, we got weighed and measured. Me Ella, I weigh 21lbs 9oz, and I'm 28 3/4" tall...amazing right? And Coopy, he weighs 20lbs 10oz, and he's 29 5/8" tall. We're huge! See?

Mommy and Daddy said the best part of the visit was that the occupational therapist first called us a success story, and then said that she wouldn't have recognized me and Coopy if not for our parents. And she and the doctor said that if they didn't know better, they never would've guessed that we started out micro-sized. Want to know what we thought the best part was? Seeing 3 of our favorite nurses. We really love them. We really loved everyone we met at the hospital last summer, but can I tell you something? I'm glad we get to spend this summer playing and being babies. No more hospitals for us!

Mobile

Guys, so much has happened over the last few days that I don't even know where to begin. Our Uncle Evan finally married our Aunt Amy last weekend, and we got to go along. Even though we weren't a part of the wedding, we were still super busy. We're getting to be such big babies, I don't know if you can even call us babies anymore, especially me Coopy. I wanted to be doing everything my daddy was doing...like drinking beer,

and brushing my teeth,

and eating muffins. Daddy tried to keep the muffin away from me, but I reached real far and got it!

While Mommy and Daddy did wedding stuff, me and Ella, we got to spend lots of time at the pool. Did you know that we LOVE swimming? Because we do. There was a big kids pool and a baby pool. And even though we're almost big kids, we still liked the baby pool more because we could sit in it and splash all by ourselves.

We also love floating in our floaties.

We got to swim with our cousins Maggie and Gabi too. They're pretty great. Maggie's bigger than us, and so she helped us float in our floaties.

Gabi's smaller than us so he just floated along with us.

After a while, swimming made Ella grumpy and tired.

Good thing Pops was there to cheer her up!

When were weren't swimming, we got to hang out in our hotel room. Hotel beds are very fun for playing you see.

Ella got to practice her game of pool with Aunt Yo in the Hospitality Suite.

Then Saturday night we got to get dressed up in our party clothes to go to the rehearsal dinner. It was at the hotel, so when we got tired of being around all those adults, we could go back up to our room and have a slumber party with Anne. We did look pretty cute in our dressed up outfits though.

It was such a busy weekend. By the time we got to the airport Monday morning, Ella was ready to go home.

But not me, Coopy! I'm all ready for my next trip!

Puzzles

When we were born, our Gramma Polly got us these super awesome stools with our names as puzzles on them. Not only are they super fun to play with, but they're tasty too.

Weekend with Daddy

Mommy is on vacation this weekend in California so we are stuck with Daddy.  It is not all bad though.  He claims that he made pancakes like Mommy did, but I heard him order them with his egg mcmuffin.  Its ok, Ella and me, we still liked them....but how about some syrup next time.  Then gramma Polly came over to watch us while daddy went out for a while.  I took a long nap, but Ella tricked Gramma into letting her up early.  Gramma said not to tell Momma though.  Anyway, we are having a lot of fun playing and Mommy comes home tomorrow.  Here are some pictures just to prove that Daddy is taking good care of us in case mommy looks at the blog.

Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day. But you know what we thought? Mother's Day, shmother's day...today was the day that we got PANCAKES! And let me tell you, they were delicious! We LOVED them!

We must have a pretty good mommy if she's making us pancakes on her day. Me Coopy, I was sure to thank her for the pancakes by eating the card I gave her. It was pretty tasty too.

Want to know what else I've been doing? Well, I've been learning how to drink my bottle all by myself.

And I also posed for some super cute pictures with Ella...see?

Tubby Time!!!

Our mommy takes a lot of pictures....like, a lot. Not as many as our Aunt Julie, who takes a thousand million bajillion, and not quite as many as our friend Juj's mom, who takes eleventy billion, but still a lot. Some days it's like the camera is glued to her hands, and others it's like she forgets we're babies and do cute stuff all the time. Today, she went somewhere she's never gone before...the tub! Good thing we do tons of awesome stuff in there. Like Coopy? He makes the most amazing shampoo-hawks! I'm super jealous.

And to think Daddy wants him to get a haircut. And me Ella? I splash!

Tubby time is so much fun!
