Happy Birthday Ethan!

Today was pretty awesome because we got to go to our friend Ethan's birthday party...and you know how much we LOVE birthday parties! Want to know what made it even better? It was a My Gym! The same My Gym that me and Ella go for gym class! We're basically experts at gym class, so it was really fun to have a party there. First we did a little playing with Ethan because he's the birthday boy.

Then we got to play with these awesome bouncing beach balls that were hanging from the ceiling.

They were almost the most fun thing ever! We had to do a little skill practicing though too, to show off what we've been learning. So we made sure to walk along the beam,

and ride the teeter-totters.

We then got to do some ring playing.

Before we knew it, it was time for our favorite part of birthday parties...CAKE! Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy made us share our cake because it was so close to naptime...lame. Thanks for a great party Mr. and Mrs. Lieberman and Happy Birthday Ethan!!!

I'm with the band

Here's a preview of our sound...

We're still a work in progress.

Grown up

I have big dreams for when I grow up, did you know that? First I want to start a band. We're going to be called "Ella and the Pacifiers", and I'm going to play the keyboard (obviously since my skills are super awesome).

I'm currently taking applications for additional members...but no stupid big brothers allowed...

...even if they beg.

And if my band doesn't work out (because let's be honest, at some point Mommy and Daddy are going to make me give up my paci. And if I couldn't have my paci, then we could no longer be "Ella and the Pacifiers" and what's a band without a name?), then I'm going to be an artist.

Mommy's already attempted to donate my work to museums and galleries. I can't imagine why there are no takers.

NOT amused!

Can someone PLEASE tell Ella that her butt is too big to ride with me??

Goofy

Sometimes it's good to be a little goofy.

Conveniently, I also now know the sign for "hat".

Practice

When Mommy and Daddy got their new camera, they started leaving the old one around for Liz to take pictures of all the awesome things we do...just incase we're not feeling awesome enough to do it for Mommy and Daddy later. We're not trained monkeys you see. Anyway, here are some of the things we've been up to: we've been practicing and perfecting (in our humble opinions) our fork and spoon skills,

and we've been working on our art skills.

We're not quite sure what to do with these dot painter things,

but if the paint on our hands afterward was any indication, we had a pretty good time. Ella's also been practicing her accessorizing skills,

and getting ready for naptime skills.

Fortunately, even though I don't show it the same way she does, I still get naps too. All this practicing makes us tired toddlers!

New Year's Weekend

Happy New Year! We had a pretty great weekend...want to hear about it? Ok! So Mommy's friend Rian came in town to visit us. Yep...US, not Mommy! We were pretty pumped to see her again. We met her last weekend in Scottsdale, and we really liked playing with her and kissing her then, but it was even more fun to have her in our house for a whole weekend! When she first got here, I made sure to sit on her lap and giver her lots of kisses so she knew I missed her.

Then she put on a pupped show for Ella.

Rian sure is entertaining. Then, when we weren't sitting on or snuggling with Rian or one of the many other people Mommy and Daddy had over for New Years Eve, we spent the weekend in our new lounge chairs. We LOVE them!

They were Hanukkah presents from Mommy and Daddy and shhhh...don't tell anyone, but we like them best! They fit us perfect with room to grow, and they're great for jumping and climbing. We hope everyone had as fun a weekend as we did. Happy 2012!
