Monday

Mondays just got infinitely better. Want to know why? Because Mondays in the summer mean the ice cream truck!

Clearly we're already ice cream eating pros...but it'll be nice to get in some extra practice.

Pro shop

Me and Ella, we have a new favorite place. It's the pro shop at Oak Ridge. They have so many amazing toys and stuff there! Like golf balls,

and Mike,

and golf clubs! We especially like putters.

I'm practically an amazing putter already. Ella really likes the pro shop because she gets to help Mommy pick out clothes.

Want to know the only other thing that can compete with the pro shop? French fries.

Papa

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!

Sorry we're not looking at the camera...we're feeling extremely uncooperative today. Blame it on the rain. Anyway, we love you and we hope you have a wonderful birthday!

PS-Ella got a little carried away on the paint on your card(s). Stupid baby sisters and their over-enthusiasm for art. Lame.

Jude

Yesterday our friend Jude came over to play. At first we were a bit shy because we haven't seen him since he turned 1 way back in December. And the last time he came to our house, when we turned 1, he was just a wee baby, but we quickly got over our shyness.

The only way our play date could've been better would have been if our stupid mommies would've let us keep waving to the neighbors, and not made us pose for pictures.

Go Twins Go!

Tonight, Mommy and Daddy are going to the Twins v. Red Sox game, but unfortunately they're leaving us at home. We understand however because A-by the time the action starts, it'll be our bedtime, and B-it's the only time of the year that Mommy and Daddy are totally and completely on opposite sides, and to be honest, we just don't want to deal with that tension. Mommy's been known to talk a lot of trash to Daddy when her team is losing. Unfortunately for her, this time, we're on Daddy's side.

Go Twins!

Gym Class Heroes

Me and Coopy, we still go to gym class every week. But now that we're getting older, we're doing so many more awesome things! Like climbing,

and jumping,

and boating,

and swinging.

Swinging is our favorite.

New

It's been a while since we showed off all of our new stuff. I'd like to think it's because now that we're almost two, we're learning how to be humble. More than likely however it's just because we've been so busy doing stuff that we forget what's new and what's not! But I digress. Want to know our favorite new thing to do? Play with bubbles.

They're awesome! We can even say "bubbles", but it usually sounds like "bubbah". I guess it's a good thing Uncle Evan doesn't live here because I bet he'd get really confused! :-) Want to know what else is new? My teeth!

I've got two new ones (finally I'm catching up with Ella!). They're on the bottom, and the one on my right has already poked through while the one on my left is almost there. Want to know the last thing that's new? Most of our spring clothes...

but I think Mommy needs to work on getting us the right sizes!

Busy

Remember when Saturdays were for lounging at home and watching football?  Yeah, us too...unfortunately they're apparently not for that anymore.  All before 11am: we got haircuts,

had freshly baked (by Mommy before 8am) snickerdoodles,

went to Home Depot,

AND went to Kowalski's.

Maybe Sunday will be for lounging?  We hope so!

Day 3

DADDY'S HOME! But he's gone again tonight for more steel stuff. Lame! Anyway, Mommy decided that the rain wasn't going to ruin our day. Instead of wallowing indoors, she took us to the book store. We got to pick out tons of books,

and we even got some puppets!

Unfortunately for us, Mommy lied yesterday and totally used cookies to bribe us into taking good naps. Unfortunately for her, we didn't...but we still got cookies.

They were pretty delicious. Then, the best part of our day? Naked couch running before bathtime!

We can't wait until tomorrow when we get to spend the whole night with Daddy...after this week, we're sending Mommy out with the girls. We need a break! :-)

Vicki

Today, our cousin Vicki is in a charity boxing match. Maybe when she kicks butt, she'll be able to teach us how to beat on Daddy the right way so he stops winning.

Band update

Ella and the Pacifiers are no longer seeking a lead singer.

Day 2

Ok, so maybe we're starting to miss Daddy a little. Or we're just getting sick of Mommy. Either way, today wasn't nearly as awesome as yesterday. I decided that I wanted to be just like Daddy and wear gym shorts. It's a good thing I'm so persuasive.

Mommy caved right away. Stupid Ella just decided she wanted to be like Mommy so she carried around a shoebox like a purse.

Sometimes girls are lame. Even though it's supposed to be cold and rainy tomorrow, Mommy said something about cookies...I hope she's not just bribing us to be good. That would be the lamest of all.

Day 1

Today, Daddy left for Atlanta. He said it was for work..."Customer Relations" he called it. Mommy said it was an excuse to spend time with Mr. Rick and Mr. Curt, and to get a mid-week break from us. It's not like we mind really, I mean, Daddy's really been bugging us lately anyway and spending time with the guys talking steel doesn't really rate high on our fun scale just yet. We figure we've got at least until we're 2 before we have to start learning "the business". But when Daddy said he was going to go to a baseball game, AND he was going to see Aunt Amy and Uncle Evan, AND he was going to meet Bella...we got pretty jealous. So we decided to get back at him by having a super fun time without him. First, we did some awesome playing at gym class.

Then I decided to literally sing for my supper (or lunch in this case).

Then Coopy decided to perform some awesome shirt skills during naptime.

I'm not too sure how he accomplished keeping his arm in his sleep sack but out of his shirt but I can't wait for him to teach me! Then we had a mega awesome dinner! Mommy made us mac 'n cheese muffin cups and hot dogs and fruit and veggies and water and we even got a Thin Mint for dessert! AND we worked on our fork skills.

Clearly I'm superior to Coopy. And the best part? Even though Daddy's not home, we still got to spend the evening half naked.

I bet tomorrow we'll have even more fun!

Gramma Betti

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMA BETTI!

We love you tons and we promise that as soon as Mommy makes one, we'll eat lots of cake in your honor. PS-sorry about our crabby faces...sometimes (read: all the time) our moods match the weather.

Win!

Sometimes me and Coop, we send Mommy and Daddy out for the night so we can get a break. I mean, you don't know how hard it is to constantly hear "Ella, come play with me" or "Coopy, come give me a kiss"...it's like they can't entertain themselves for one second! And then, when they don't get their way, they whine and complain and bug us even more. Parents...can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em (until we can wipe our own butts and get our own food). Even last night when we sent them out, they tried to ruin our fun by having Liz give us a bath. Too bad we (and by "we", we mean Liz, because she's the most brilliant-est nanny ever) outsmarted our lame, fun-sucking parents. WE GOT PUDDING!

Win!
